The Story of the Halter Belt

The bridle leather belts with personalized brass nameplates reflects the style of the Bluegrass and the horse industry. 

First used in the 1800's to note which thoroughbreds belonged to a specific farm, small brass plates were engraved with the farm’s name and placed on the halters.  Later, the farm name was replaced with the name of a specific horse.  This practice evolved into horsemen using the bridle leather for belts and putting their names on the plates. 
Thus, the Kentucky Halter Belt was born. 

Creased edges or stitched. All solid brass buckles with personalized brass plate.

Men's sizes should be entered as a pants size.

Women's and children sizes should be entered as the waist measurement.
